FAMILY THAI-BOX CIRCUIT

This class is open to all fitness abilities from Age 6 to Adult.

These sessions are for individuals and families - bring the kids along! Similar to the standard circuit except this class uses Thai Boxing techniques on pads and punch bags too!

This themed Thai-Box Circuit training class incorporates typical Thai Boxing moves amongst the usual and expected multi stationed and energetic circuit exercises. Strength exercises will be combined with endurance/aerobic exercises, thus giving you all the benefits of both a cardiovascular and strength training workout. The circuits will offer short bursts of various exercises, such as calorie burning skipping to muscle toning lunges, designed to work on all the basic elements of fitness (mobility, strength, stamina and flexibility).

The themed side of this style of circuit training means participants will be able to additionally punch focus pads and also use the punch bags to punch, kick, knee and elbow. Thai Boxing techniques will be used for purely fitness and body conditioning purposes, hence will not involve actually hitting anyone (or being hit).

This class offers a way for people with little interest in contact Thai Boxing to benefit from the fitness that the sport can bring by way of using a variety of techniques in order to work all the muscle groups in an effective cardiovascular workout.

Each exercise is performed for a specified number of repetitions or for a prescribed time before moving on to the next exercise. The exercises within each circuit are separated by brief, timed rest intervals, and each circuit is separated by a longer rest period. The total number of circuits performed during a training session will vary.

Participants can work at their own level performing each exercise at their own speed and intensity. Each individual can push themselves to their own limits and therefore be guaranteed to get the most out of this all round body workout.

This Thai-Box Circuit training class is a great way to combine cardio, strength and Thai Boxing techniques if you’re short on time. It is an appropriate form of training for most sports and can be adjusted to suit age, fitness and health of the participant.

No co-ordination required and all fitness abilities welcomed.
